Common Causes of No Hot Water
Our Gordon's Bay plumbing team regularly deal with no hot water issues and can diagnose the root cause of the issue quickly. When you suddenly have no hot water, the most common causes are a tripped geyser element at your DB board, a faulty thermostat that needs replacement, a burned-out heating element, an electrical connection issue, or the geyser breaker has tripped due to an earth leakage. Occasionally, it is simply that your prepaid electricity ran out.
Our Diagnostic Process
Our qualified plumbers test your geyser systematically. We check the DB board for tripped breakers, test the thermostat and element with specialized equipment, inspect all electrical connections, and verify that power is reaching the geyser. Most no hot water problems can be diagnosed within 30 minutes.
Same-Day Repairs
We carry common geyser elements, thermostats, and electrical parts on our vehicles. This means we can usually repair your geyser and restore hot water on the first visit. If your geyser needs replacement, we discuss your options and can often install a new one the same day.
Load Shedding Considerations
With load shedding, geysers sometimes trip and do not automatically reset. We show you how to safely reset your geyser after power outages and can install geyser timers to optimize heating during available electricity periods.
