Common Toilet Leak Problems
A leaking toilet can waste hundreds of litres of water every day. The most common causes are worn inlet valves that keep filling, faulty flush valves allowing water into the bowl, leaking seals between the cistern and pan, loose water supply connections, or a failed wax/rubber seal at the base of the toilet. These problems usually worsen over time and can increase your water bill significantly.
Signs Your Toilet Is Leaking
You may hear constant water running, notice the cistern refilling regularly, see water around the base of the toilet, or find your water bill increasing without explanation. Sometimes leaks are silent and only visible as moisture around the toilet base or a damp floor.
Our Repair Process
Our Gordon's Bay plumbing team inspect the cistern components, inlet valve, flush mechanism, seals and water supply connections. Most leaks can be repaired on the first visit by replacing worn valves, washers or seals. If the toilet pan seal has failed, we remove and reseal the toilet securely to prevent further leakage and damage.
