What the Beeping Means
Electric fence energizers beep to alert you of problems including low voltage on fence wires, earth leakage fault, short circuit touching the fence, fence wire broken or disconnected, poor earthing system, backup battery low or failed, mains power loss, or fence wires touching vegetation or structures. The beeping is a warning that your fence is not providing proper security.
Different Beep Patterns
Different energizer brands have different beep patterns for different faults. Some beep constantly for earth faults, intermittently for wire breaks, or in specific patterns for battery or power problems. Check your energizer manual or note the beep pattern when calling our Strand security team. This helps us diagnose remotely and arrive prepared with the right equipment.
Our Electric Fence Diagnosis
We test energizer output voltage, use fence fault finders to locate problem areas, check each fence zone systematically, inspect for wires touching structures or plants, test earthing system resistance, verify battery condition and connections, check for broken or disconnected wires, repair damaged insulators, and identify short circuits. We walk your fence line to find all faults.
Restoring Fence Security
Once faults are found, we repair broken wires, clear vegetation touching the fence, replace damaged insulators, repair or improve the earthing system, replace failed batteries, reconnect loose wires, and test the entire system for proper voltage. We ensure your fence provides maximum security again. We can also upgrade old energizers to modern units with better fault finding and remote monitoring.
